Hi! My journey at Outokumpu began previous summer as Junior Accountant Intern in Accounts Payable – I was ending my first year in university and looking for a simple summer job, however my dear friend and now colleague Roberta, already working in Outokumpu herself, encouraged me to try and apply for internship here as she knew I was studying Accounting and Auditing. Thanks to her, I am still improving my knowledge and skills in accounting working as an Accountant in Accounts Payable at Outokumpu.

The most valuable things about working here is being appreciated and listened to.

To be honest, at first I did not feel confident having no accounting background as everything seemed new, but surprisingly my team kindly welcomed and supported me during whole internship – the whole summer I was improving myself and learning a lot of things about an organization and all processes with a help of my colleagues and managers, who dedicated so much time for me and my needs. I met new people, faced new challenges, increased my capabilities, and didn’t even notice how fast the time passed – after 3 months of internship I was offered with a position of Junior Accountant and happily accepted it.

The most valuable things about working here is being appreciated and listened to. In addition, being a working student is not easy however here I can have a flexible working schedule helping me to balance my work and studies, so I strongly believe that Outokumpu has perfect conditions for studying youth and is a great place to start their career.
